Each player must put in at least as many chips as the previous player, or \u201ccall,\u201d in order to participate in a betting interval. A player who does not want to call may increase the amount of the previous bet, or \u201craise,\u201d or put in more than the maximum bet. A player who raises a bet must continue raising it until another player calls it, or the player may \u201cdrop\u201d and forfeit any further participation in the hand.<\/p>\n
